Category: Project ManagementTrails Master Plan 2005
The 2001 report "Town of Nederland and Surrounding Areas Open
Space, Trails, Parks and Outdoor Recreation Master Plan" called for
the development of a Trails Master Plan. In 2005 that Trails Plan is
now complete.
The Nederland Trails Master Plan is a strategic guide toward
implementation of a trail network for the Town of Nederland meant
to: support safe recreational experiences; provide routes for
alternative transportation; and spotlight natural features, open
space, and resources unique to the Town.
Developed with citizen input, the Trails Master Plan highlights the
immediate need for a high-quality trail system both within the Town
and linking the Town to adjacent public lands and trail networks.
The Trails Plan serves to guide the spatial planning, appropriate
uses, design standards, phasing strategies, and funding strategies
that will make this citizen-desired trail system a reality in the
near future.
