Category: Economic Development Nederland Economic Development Facilitating and advising the Nederland Area Chamber of Commerce on developing the focus for the "new" chamber. Helping to raise funds and hire an outside consultant to conduct a market analysis. We have completed 30 interviews of area businesses and compiled the data from the interviews and presented the results and themes to the < br /> Chamber and business owners. We have facilitated three follow-up meetings to further define the "new" focus of the chamber. At the last meeting we recommended that the Chamber hire a professional staff person to help implement the goals of the organization which they have done. Please refer to the chamber website for more details. In 2003, the membership of the chamber has climbed to over 110. They also heeded our recommendation to hire an executive director.
