• May 2007: The 3rd Annual Turtle Float fundraiser will be held Sunday, June 24th at the Nederland High Peaks Art Fair. Adopt a turtle and support Over the Rainbow Preschool. Turtle chances cost just $5 each. Watch the ducks & turtles hurtle down the creek. Win great prizes!

 

December 2006:  Peak to Peak Healthy Communities Project is now accepting nominations for the 2006 Community Champion Awards! The Community Champion Awards will be awarded as part of the 8th Annual “Celebrating Our Community” event on Saturday, February 24, 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Nederland Community Presbyterian Church. 

These 7 awards will recognize individuals (nominations for groups will not be accepted) who have made significant contributions in the areas of Business, Education, Arts & Entertainment, Community Service, Government (paid staff, appointed committee member, state, county or local elected official) and Youth (18 years of age or younger).

• December 2005:  The Nederland Skate & Racquet Park  is now open for ice skating! See www.NedRink.com for more information.

• August 22, 2005:  PPHCP managed the development of The Nederland Trails Master Plan which is now complete. Hard copies can be viewed at the Town Hall, the Library, and the Visitor's Center. A MAP of existing trails will be posted here as soon as it 's ready.

• August 22, 2005:  PPHCP updated the Peak to Peak Community Resource Directory. The 2005 edition is now available online! Click the "Directory" tab above to view it. You may download and print a copy for your very own.

• Summer 2005:  PPHCP supports the Nederland Skate Park project. Please see the latest news about NedSk8 here.

• The Town of Nederland was awarded $200,000 from Great Outdoors Colorado for an Ice Rink and Tennis Courts. PPHCP submitted the grant proposal on behalf of the Town and is managing the grant administration for the project.

Who We Are:

Peak to Peak Healthy Communities Project (PPHCP) has been working in Gilpin County and the Greater Nederland Area for over 10 years with the mission of bringing people together to positively impact community issues. We help people to have respectful and effective conversations. Some we seek out and others we are asked to facilitate. As a result of these conversation we sometimes coordinate projects and identify and secure funds to implement them.
