How Are We Funded?
We are funded by local government, individual donations and fee for services. Government funding includes the Town of Nederland and Gilpin County Commissioners. Private donations are from individuals and local businesses. A growing part of our income is from our ability to charge for the services we provide. Examples of fee for services include developing a long range fundraising plan for the Nederland Seniors, facilitating community meetings for the Gilpin School Board, managing the Town of Nederland Open Space Master Plan, conducting a survey of area businesses for the Nederland Chamber of Commerce.
